Towards a Future of Healthy Black Moms and Babies: Addressing Social Determinants of Health to Modify Cardiovascular Risk Factors Among Young Adult Black Women
The Mississippi Community Engagement Alliance (CEAL) Team, in collaboration with USM, focuses on advancing health equity and improving maternal health outcomes, particularly for Black women in Mississippi. Through community engagement, the project will implement and evaluate the “With Every Heartbeat is Life” intervention, led by community health workers, to address cardiovascular risk factors and social determinants of health among young, sexually active Black women.
